The ORICO 6228US3-C is a dual‑bay HDD/SSD docking station. It is meant to let you plug in SATA hard drives (HDD) or solid‑state drives (SSD) — either 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch — and treat them as external drives, or clone one drive to another.

It supports two drives at once, so you could have two HDDs, two SSDs, or a mix of HDD + SSD.

You don’t need a screwdriver or special tools: the dock is “tool-free” — you just insert the drives into the slots.
This makes it useful for a variety of tasks: data migration (e.g. migrating from HDD to SSD), backups, quick access to multiple drives, or cloning drives without needing to install them internally in a PC.

You can clone (duplicate) the contents of one drive (source) to another (target) without connecting to a computer. You just insert both source and target drives, switch the dock to “Clone mode”, connect the power, and press Start.

There are LED indicators and prompt tones to show the progress / status of cloning.

This is very convenient for tasks such as migrating from an old HDD to a new SSD, backing up a drive, or duplicating a drive for storage/archival — without needing a PC or specialized software.
